What this festival offers goes beyond mere debates about tastes or flavors—it also showcases the vibrant town of Omišalj, which is itself reason enough to visit any time of the year, including now in winter, when its squares and narrow labyrinth-like streets come alive with carnival celebrations, or "babani," for which Omišalj is renowned far and wide.
