Good day to you all. I hope you do not mind that I am writing in English, I do speak German, but it is so very difficult to write it down...We are living in Brugge - Belgium , so our maternale languarge is Dutch..
In August we are travelling to Crni Lug (close to the National Park of Risjnak) It's the first time we are travelling to Croatia.
Total distance is about 1300 km; and as we are travelling with our 3 kids we plan to travel in 2 days , with a possible stop in Slovenia.
Does anybody have a good idea for a stop-over place?
Anybody has experience with holidays in the area of Rijeka - Risjnak??

If you get registrated, you can send a private message to our member "Hase 28". She has been there for a couple of days in spring this year. For a stopover in Slovenia I suggest that you have a look for "Sobe" labels at the houses. There are many privat houses which rent rooms for one night.

Mrs Schneider if you only have 1300km to drive and nearly the whole track is railway, i would´t advise you to travel 2 days. I think your drive to Crni Lug will take 10-12 hours so you need two or maybe three bigger breaks and it wouldn´t be so hard for your children. And if you are in Slovenia I don´t think that you need to spend a night there because Crni Lug is 2,5h-1h away (depends on where you are North or South Slovenia).

You will absolutely love it. Crni lug is a place to be.I basically grew up in crni lug because my grandma lives there.I am going in august as well; expect my trip is a little bit longer then yours-New York.AS far as staying in Slovenia you should, especially if you have small kids and are not in rush. Take your time ,
